While Ashley's mom was in town, we decided to take advantage of it. So we went to dinner without the little one.

Ok so being the new parents we are Luke and I have taken hundreds of pictures of Sadie. It doesn't matter what she is doing we just snap away. We have a camera beside us at all times. We don't won't to miss a thing. Here are just a few of the many many pictures that we have taken. It seems like she has just about the same face in all of them but we continue to take pictures. These pictures are from her first two weeks at home.

Ashley tried dressing her up in one of her cute little dresses but as you can see it's just a little big, so we decided that she can just hang out in newborn clothes for a few weeks.

Ashley's grandparents live in Mobile so they were able to visit us in the hospital and meet their first great grandchild. Luke's grandparents weren't able to make the long trip so they will meet her very soon.

Going Home!!!

Finally!! (After what seemed like forever in the hospital) it was time to take little Miss. Sadie home! Here are a few pictures of this adventure.

I don't know if you can tell but Sadie was NOT happy about her coming home outfit. She cried and cried when dressing her in the hospital. So there aren't many pictures, but she's not off the hook yet. We are going to get more pics of her in the dress very soon.

After a long trip, Luke's parents finally arrived just in time to meet their new grandbaby.

Sadie has truly been a blessing. She is perfect in everyway. We are so lucky to have her in our lives.

The Arrival of Sadie Pace Fleniken

Well after a long 39 weeks and 5 days, Sadie Pace Fleniken decided that she was ready to make her entrance into the world. On Sunday April 6, Ashley started having contractions. After having contractions all through the night, we decided to call the doctor on Monday morning. Her contractions were now 4 minutes apart. The doctor told us to come in and let the doctor examine her. We waited a long hour in the doctor's office (with contractions) and finally they saw us. The doctor had told us that he was going to check her but he would more than likely go on and send us to the hospital. As soon as he checked Ashley, he said she had to get over to the hospital STAT!!! She was dialated already 4 cm and Sadie was going to be coming anytime. So at 12:30 pm we checked into the hospital. Sadie arrived at 4:24 pm weighing 7 pounds 5 ounces and she measured 20.5 inches long.
